The 13th Western China International Fair (WCIF) will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province during September 20 – 25, 2012.

Initiated in 2000, WCIF becomes an annual event hosted jointly by 15 state ministries, 12 western China provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

The 12th WCIF attracted a total of 4564 participants from 52 countries and regions including China, Japan, Korea, the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Iceland, Poland, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Israel, Greece, Norway, Switzerland,

Russia , Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa, Colombia, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Overseas companies made up 44% of theses participants with a number of 2014, occupying exhibition areas of 50400 m2 or 42% of the total. There were 149 well-known enterprises participating in the 12th WCIF, e.g. Cisco, Seagate, Panasonic, LG, Dell, Datang Telecom, State Grid, Foxconn, Changhong Electric, Sichuan Jiuzhou Electric Group, CJ Group, ICBC, Huaxia Bank, Shell, Chengdu Bus Co., Ltd., Panzhihua Gangcheng Group Co., Ltd., Dongfang Electric Corporation, Pangang Group Chengdu Steel & Vanadium Co., Ltd., CSR Corporation, and Tongwei Group, covering exhibition areas of 12460m2, accounting for 10.4% of the exhibition venue.

The 13th WCIF will be held in the Century City New International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Chengdu, Sichuan during September 20 – 25, 2012 with an exhibition area of 200,000m2. There will be six kinds of halls including International Cooperation Hall, Western China Cooperation Hall, Hi-tech Hall, Electronic Information Hall, Equipment Manufacturing Hall, and Agriculture Hall.
