On January 24, 2011, “2011 CBBC & CCBC New Year Banquet” was held at Beijing Shangri-la Hotel. About 100 guests attended the Banquet, including officials from the Department of American and Oceania Affairs and the Department of Foreign Investment Administration of China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), representatives from member companies of China-Brazil Business Council (CBBC) and China-Chile Business Council (CCBC),representatives of investment promotion agencies, representatives of financial, academic institutes, and the Brazilian and Chilean companies in China.

The Banquet was hosted by Madam Zhou Ming, the Executive Vice President of CCIIP. Madam Xu Yingzhen, Deputy Director General from the Department of American and Oceania Affairs attended the Banquet and delivered an address, in which she reviewed the cooperation between China and Brazil, China and Chile in 2010, and appreciated CBBC and CCBC’s devotion to the development of trade relations between China and Brazil, China and Chile for years.

Mr. Hugueney, the Brazilian Ambassador to China, attended the Banquet and delivered an address, in which he thanked CCIIP’s endeavor for promoting the economic interaction between China and Brazil, and the cooperation between Chinese and Brazilian companies. Mr. Miao Gengshu, the President of CCIIP and Honorary Chairman of CBBC attended the Banquet and introduced the major work of CBBC and CCBC in the year 2010, and thank all the partners and friends in various fields for their support to the work of CBBC and CCBC.

With wonderful artistic performances, the guests enjoyed good wine and delicate dishes, and communicated with each other. The Banquet ended in a joyful atmosphere.
